Bien (capsules 0,1 g, 0,2 g, 0,4 g)

Capsulae Bieni 0,1, 0,2 et 0,4)

Pharmacotherapeutic group

Agents for gastrointestinal tract pathology treatment. Antiulcer agents. Regenerants and reparants.

Composition of the preparation

1 capsule contains 100, 200 or 400 mg of bien.

Bien is a complex of ethylic ethers of the polyunsaturated fat acids received from lipids of micellar Entomophthora virulenta fungus. Bien consists in 90-95 % of the higher fatty acids. The bien structure includes: ethylic ether  of linolenic acids(w-3),ethylic ether of linoleic acid(w-6),ethylic etherof  g - linolenic acids(w-6),ethylic ether of arachidonic acid(w-6),ethylic ether of eicosanoid acids (w-6),ethylic ether of eicosapentaenoic acid(w-6),ethylic ether of palmitic acid(w-7),ethylic ether of palmitoleic acid(w-9),ethylic ether of oleic acid(w-9),ethylic ether of stearic acid, ethylic ether of myristic acid.

Pharmacological action

Bien in a complex of pharmacological effects is referred to reparative and cytoprotective agents. The preparation has stimulating influence on wound healing process and burns of skin and mucosa. High efficiency of the preparation has been shown at treatment of peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum. The bien medical effect is dose-dependent and nonspecific and, consequently, the preparation can be used at others ulcer-necrotic lesions of mucosa. In comparative studies bien exceed antiulcer effect of sea-buckthorn oil and approaches to activity of antisecretory medicinal preparations. Bien is not toxic and at long application does not cause appreciable functional, morphological and biochemical changes in an organism.

The arachidonic acid is a precursor of biologically active compounds - eicosanoids: diene prostanoids (prostaglandins; prostacyclins, thromboxanes), tetraene leukotrienes; tetraene lipotrienes, lypoxynes, hydroperoxy - and hydroxyeicosapoliene acids.Dihomo-g- linolenic acid throughΔ5-desaturasetransformed into arachidonic acid, or directly participates in synthesis of eicosanoids.a- linolenic acid during a biotransformation formseicosapentaenoic acid anddocosahexaenoic acid, can take part in formation of prostaglandins and leukotrienes through series of intermediate stages. Trienoicprostanoids are formed froma-linolenicacid (prostaglandins; prostacyclins, thromboxanes), pentaene leukotrienes; pentaene lipotrienes, lypoxynes, hydroperoxy - and hydroxyeicosapoliene acids. The linoleic acid is the precursor of monoene prostanoids biosynthesis (зrostaglandins; prostacyclins, thromboxanes), and also trienoic leukotrienes; trienoic lipotrienes, lypoxynes.
